About Prof. Dr. Günter Hafız
Ear, nose and throat surgeon. Professor of otorhinolaryngology. Head and neck cancer surgery, thyroid and parathyroid surgery, laryngeal surgery and reconstruction.
Prof. Dr. Günter Hafız is an experienced ear, nose and throat and head and neck surgeon. He graduated from Istanbul University Faculty of Medicine in 1989 and completed his specialist training in otorhinolaryngology at the same institution in 1994. He became an associate professor in 1999 and a professor in 2006.
His clinical work includes complex head and neck cancer surgery, transoral laser surgery, airway surgery, microvascular reconstruction and recurrent laryngeal nerve monitoring. He has contributed to medical education and research through international and national publications, textbook chapters and hundreds of conference and panel presentations.
Prof. Dr. Hafız believes that empathy is essential to good medical care. He aims to explain each diagnosis and treatment plan clearly, helping patients and their families feel informed and supported throughout their treatment.
